Perge was originally built around 1500 B.C. and remains an awe-inspiring sight to this day. The stadium, one of the best-preserved of the ancient world, has a 1,000-square-yard field and an original seating capacity of around 12,000 people. It's now a modest showcase for carvings from around the city. You’ll also find meticulously carved marble reliefs in the Greco-Roman theatre, where spectacular views of the plain allow you to see the lower city.
